About the position
The Network L3 (SME/Architect) role is a full-time position based in Kansas City, KS, requiring an experienced network subject matter expert with a strong background in routing, switching, and SD-WAN technologies. The position involves hands-on management and troubleshooting of network devices, ensuring high performance and security across the network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Min 12 years experience in operations working on Cisco products
- Excellent knowledge in Routing protocols with excellent experience in issue troubleshooting
- Deploy and configure network devices
- Experience in SD-WAN (Viptella/Vmanage)
- Update network diagrams for documentation of the existing network setup
- Conduct proactive analysis to identify areas of improvement
- SME level troubleshooting and issue resolution support
- Standardize configuration of the network devices
- Coordinate with OEM 3rd party for connectivity and infrastructure issues as needed
- Plan, schedule, and implement network device software and hardware upgrades and migrations
- Cloud network traffic manager profile management
- Cloud network gateway Vnet site-to-site VPN, point-to-site VPN, express route, subnet, and public IP management
- IP reservations for internal and external
- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot a global ACI environment
- Implement and maintain a secure and high-performance wireless network utilizing advanced Cisco wireless technologies
- Maintain a zero down ISE infrastructure with expert troubleshooting skills
- Implement advanced log analysis and correlation like Splunk to proactively identify and address network issues
- Manage, design, and troubleshoot the Infoblox DDI environment with advanced expertise
- Configure and manage load balancers
- Incident, service catalog, problem, and change management for network services
- Understanding and certifications for authentication protocols TACACS and Radius
- Good understanding of change and problem management processes
- Willing to work in rotational night shifts
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience in network operations
- Expertise in Cisco products and technologies
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Experience with SD-WAN (Viptella/Vmanage)
- CCNA and CCNP certifications in Routing and Switching
- Advanced knowledge of Routing and Switching technology
