About the position
This position is responsible for supporting the provider recruitment and contracting process to ensure strategic coverage of providers within an assigned territory. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with physicians and physician groups, contributing to the overall success of HCSC's healthcare delivery system.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the provider recruitment and contracting process.
- Ensure strategic coverage of providers for assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain relationships with physicians and physician groups.
- Meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree and at least one year experience developing and negotiating provider contracts OR 5 years managed care operations experience handling independent work with at least one year experience developing and negotiating provider contracts.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and planning skills.
- PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office.
- Analytical skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel within assigned territory, including overnight stays.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor Degree and at least one year managed care operations experience OR 5 years managed care operations experience handling independent work with at least one year experience in a provider facing role.
