About the position

The Operational Excellence Lead will play a crucial role in transforming the Network Strategy and Enablement team by developing and redesigning processes to enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction. This position focuses on delivering a best-in-class customer experience while executing strategic initiatives effectively. The lead will provide operational program management and thought leadership, leveraging data analytics and AI tools to optimize workflows and eliminate inefficiencies across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative process redesign initiatives to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks, focusing on data analytics and AI tools.
  • Transform network processes including discovery, current state/future state mapping, business case development, and delivery.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of operational excellence best practices, including Lean Six Sigma, to develop and implement organizational strategy.
  • Understand technological developments and deploy automation and AI to improve efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to better service internal and external stakeholders using an operational excellence mindset.
  • Align with partners to provide guidance and resolve questions utilizing a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Drive organizational engagement and execution of key strategic initiatives, making decisions autonomously while consulting with senior leadership on complex situations.
  • Implement a strategy to ensure standards/processes are aligned and followed to support business objectives.
  • Develop sustainable processes for Network Operations teams with a focus on process optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Recent experience developing and deploying operational excellence strategies specifically in the insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Lean methodology, tools, and process improvement; Black Belt preferred.
  • Ability to manage programs and projects; strong facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical, and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AI tools and their application in process optimization.
  • Familiarity with the dental insurance industry.
