About the position

GDIT is seeking a Network Operations ASI Coordinator to support the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program, specifically assisting the USCENTCOM J6 in Tampa, FL. This role is critical in managing intra/inter theater Authorized Services interruptions that impact both the Headquarters and Forward Headquarters CENTCOM customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for prioritizing and managing ASI Requests, processing and tracking these requests, and providing impact assessments on network systems affected by these requests. The role requires gathering accurate information regarding outages and security calls that affect enterprise-wide services, as well as maintenance on USCENTCOM systems. Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for completing trouble tickets using USCENTCOM approved systems and providing reports for situational awareness. The ideal candidate must possess strong teamwork skills, as collaboration with team members and customers is essential. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. The coordinator will also need to demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that all requests are handled efficiently and effectively. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence in support of USCENTCOM's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall management of intra/inter theater Authorized Services interruptions impacting the HQ and FWD HQ CENTCOM customers
  • Prioritizing and managing ASI Requests as appropriate
  • Processing, de-conflicting, and tracking ASI requests
  • Provide impact assessments on network systems due to requested ASI
  • Gather accurate information regarding outages, security calls that affect enterprise-wide services, and maintenance on USCENTCOM systems
  • Completing trouble tickets using USCENTCOM approved systems and providing reports for situational awareness

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • COMPTIA Security+ CE Certification
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products like Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and MS Project
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and customers
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills in making the appropriate technical decisions
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree with a focus in communication, computer science, engineering, or a related field of study
  • ITIL V4 Certification
  • Experience with USCENTCOM and familiarity with its mission
  • Knowledge and familiarity with USCENTCOM's IT environment
