About the position

Motorola Solutions runs a state of the art enterprise network that delivers global VoIP and VaaS capabilities as well as HD video collaboration in over 125+ locations worldwide. The role of the Network Engineer is to provide operational support that ensures the integrity, performance and uptime of our global LAN, WAN and Wireless Networks. This position will be hybrid and have primary responsibility for Wireless, however will also support the provisioning, decommissioning and overall lifecycle across network disciplines. You will make a positive impact from day one as part of a collaborative and committed team of technical peers, and will enjoy opportunities to grow toward your strengths and what interests you most. Ideal candidates for the Network Engineer position will possess 3 + years of network experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for global LAN, WAN, and Wireless Networks.
  • Ensure the integrity, performance, and uptime of the network.
  • Support the provisioning, decommissioning, and overall lifecycle across network disciplines.
  • Collaborate with technical peers to solve complex network issues.
  • Conduct WLAN RF planning and site surveys using tools like Ekahau.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of network experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience with configuration, installation, and monitoring of network equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise networks and WLAN deployments.
  • Knowledge of SDWAN networks and multilayer switching.
  • Understanding of application transport and network infrastructure protocols TCP/IP and WLAN standards 802.11.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on staging and installation of network devices.
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Cisco CCNA and CCNP certifications.
  • WIFI Skill level - CWNP (Certified Wireless Network Professional).
