About the position

Amazon's technology business has a history and tradition of leading the world in Web-related technologies and services. Now, with Amazon Web Services (AWS), you have the chance to help individuals and businesses take their computing infrastructures and applications into “the Cloud”. As a member of the AWS Managed Services team, you will be at the forefront of Cloud technologies, interacting with the full breadth of AWS services. AWS Managed Services is designed to accelerate cloud adoption, simplifying deployment, migration, and management using automation and machine learning, backed up by a dedicated team of Amazon employees. This service provides ongoing management of the AWS infrastructure, automating common activities such as change requests, monitoring, patch management, security, and backup services, and offers full-lifecycle services to provision, run, and support your infrastructure. In this role, you will operate the Managed Service platform and collaborate with internal service teams to meet our customers' individual needs for their infrastructure and application deployments. You will troubleshoot complex issues, drive root cause analysis by reproducing customer issues, and build proof of concept environments that adhere to cloud best practices. Additionally, you will collaborate and help build utilities and tools for internal use that enable you and AWS Engineers to operate safely at high speed and wide scale. You will also identify and drive improvements to technical processes, act as an escalation point and mentor to less experienced engineers on the team and across Amazon, and leverage your day-to-day experiences to provide the voice of the customer to internal AWS teams. Furthermore, you will drive customer communication during critical events and learn and leverage groundbreaking technologies. AWS Managed Services is a customer-centric global organization that provides technical services to our customers. As a member of our team, you will be at the forefront of this transformational technology, assisting a global list of companies and developers that are taking advantage of a growing set of services and features to run their mission-critical applications. We value diverse experiences and encourage candidates to apply even if they do not meet all qualifications. Our inclusive team culture fosters a sense of belonging and pride in our differences, supported by ongoing events and learning experiences. We also prioritize mentorship and career growth, providing resources to help you develop into a better-rounded professional. Work-life balance is essential to us, and we offer flexible work hours and arrangements to ensure success at work does not come at the expense of personal life.
