About the position

VTG is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia. In this role, you will be integral to supporting the Subject Matter Expert (SME) Developers on the data distribution team. Your primary responsibilities will include utilizing Confluence and HelpNow ticketing systems to ensure seamless operations and continuous monitoring of worldwide installations. This position requires a proactive approach to incident monitoring and reporting, ensuring that all technical issues are addressed promptly and effectively. You will also be responsible for presenting technical data to key stakeholders, which necessitates strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex information into understandable formats. Additionally, you will conduct and support technical reviews, collaborating closely with team members to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities

• Support SME Developers on the data distribution team.
• Utilize Confluence and HelpNow ticketing systems for operational support.
• Monitor and report on incidents related to worldwide installations.
• Present technical data to key stakeholders effectively.
• Conduct and support technical reviews as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• 3-5 years of experience with Confluence.
• 3+ years of experience in incident monitoring and reporting.
• Experience in presenting technical data to key stakeholders.
• Experience in conducting and supporting technical reviews.
• Ability to work in a collaborative work environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Network engineering background preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
