About the position

The Network Operations Specialist at NavitsPartners is a critical role focused on implementing and maintaining enterprise network solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts, including Spanning Tree Protocol, Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Virtual Port Channels (VPCs), and Wide Area Network (WAN) integration. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of network environments, which includes troubleshooting issues related to Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and serial interfaces such as Frame Relay. In addition to implementation and maintenance, the role involves setting up and overseeing Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), configuring IPsec, and managing Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) tunnels. The Network Operations Specialist will also develop and manage network protection measures, which include configuring firewalls to safeguard the network from potential threats. This position is essential for ensuring that the network infrastructure is robust, secure, and capable of supporting the organization's operational needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network operations, with specific expertise in Dell and VMware technologies. Experience in incident response and a solid understanding of security protocols are also crucial for this role. Responsibilities
