About the position

The Network Operations Support Specialist at Accenture Federal Services is responsible for the day-to-day operations of network connectivity across all AFS sites, ensuring that all site connectivity is operational 24/7/365. This role involves working on support tickets, participating in operational projects, and providing network support for local and remote sites. The specialist will also be involved in the administration and configuration of network equipment, including switches and firewalls, and will participate in a rotating on-call support schedule.

Responsibilities

• Configuration of switch port and firewalls
• Network support for local site as well as all other sites
• SolarWinds monitoring
• Rotating On-call support schedule

Requirements

• Must be on US soil (required)
• 2 years of expert level experience in LAN technologies (switches, routers, wireless and firewalls) including centralized monitoring and management in large-scale, high-availability environments
• 2 years of experience working with core Internet routing protocols such as OSPF and services such as DHCP and DNS
• 2 years of experience working with Enterprise level firewalls
• Familiarity with Central Firewall and IDS Management Systems
• Familiarity with Management protocols such as SNMP and SFTP

Nice-to-haves

• Work support tickets, make changes where necessary using the CR process
• Escalate issues/concerns to management
• Provide network operational support to configure and test updates in offices and data centers
• Perform system maintenance and OS patching
• Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
• Working knowledge of authentication protocols such as TACACS and radius
