About the position

The Network Operations Support role at ECLARO involves providing day-to-day support for network escalations as a level 1/2 technician. The position focuses on responding to network faults and ensuring the smooth operation of a large enterprise network infrastructure across various locations, including campuses, branches, and data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Fault and Performance monitoring systems for large enterprise network infrastructure with Campus, branch and data center locations
  • Address alerts and other network events (fault and performance), responsible for break/fix maintenance
  • Proactively address capacity requirements for normal operation (IP allocation, system resources, port availability, bandwidth, WiFi coverage)
  • Escalation point for Helpdesk, and assist in troubleshooting infrastructure related issues
  • Work with vendor tech support teams to identify and fix issues and perform Break/Fix as needed
  • Support regional counterparts in network maintenance as required
  • Act as project lead for hardware and software lifecycle maintenance activities
  • Network Access Control system maintenance and operational support
  • Day-to-day maintenance of Enterprise DHCP/DNS systems
  • Support Wireless network infrastructure and assist in troubleshooting wireless problems
  • ForeScout for NOC

Requirements

  • 5 plus years of experience in Enterprise Network support
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, routing, switching, security protocols and the ability to read/understand packet captures
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst and Arista switches
  • Understanding of Network Security fundamentals including proxies and firewalls
  • Familiar with Network Access Control Systems (Cisco Client/ForeScout Counteract etc.)
  • Experience with Network Management systems such as SolarWinds, NetMRI, EMC Ionix (EMC Smarts)
  • Good understanding of Incident and Change management principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast paced environment with solid attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the financial industry
  • Experience with 3rd party applications such as Splunk, and Jira
  • Working in an Agile environment
  • Experience working with VMware ESXi
  • Experience with structured cabling
