About the position

The Network Performance Engineer at Verizon is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving network and data performance issues to ensure efficient and reliable service for customers. This role directly impacts customer satisfaction and helps maintain Verizon's competitive edge by optimizing network performance and supporting stakeholder organizations in solving complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve network and data performance issues.
• Evaluate service performance trends and isolate root causes of impacted services.
• Perform testing and analyses of relevant key performance indicators.
• Optimize networks using traditional and innovative means.
• Support stakeholder organizations to identify and solve complex problems.
• Identify processes that can be improved, eliminated, or automated.

Requirements

• Three or more years of relevant work experience.
• A valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

• A degree.
• Experience in working with high-speed wireless technologies.
• Experience in automation/programming and scripting.
