About the position

The Network Project Manager/Coordinator serves as a vital link between the Network team and internal clients, overseeing key infrastructure vendors and managing projects that require Network involvement. This role focuses on aligning cross-functional resources' priorities, obtaining requirements for infrastructure-related projects, and managing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

Responsibilities

  • Manages relationships between Network and all internal and external customers
  • Works with Management to review prioritization of IT projects and determines focus areas for employees
  • Develops detailed technical road maps for major infrastructure initiatives
  • Maintains continuity of network operations by documenting and communicating actions, challenges, and opportunities
  • Assists with scheduled periodic maintenance for OS updates, software updates, configuration changes, and maintenance renewals
  • Keeps abreast of upcoming infrastructure-driven initiatives and allocates resources and funding accordingly
  • Helps manage ongoing network issues and ensures appropriate parties are involved in resolution
  • Stays informed about technology, customer needs, and industry trends to form strategies for client needs
  • Assists in asset management, maintaining inventory and warranty information, and documentation
  • Provides status updates to peers and Management
  • Assists Management with budget forecasting based on planned initiatives
  • Coordinates and aids with Network initiatives, interpreting strategies into actionable project plans
  • Aids in generating contracts and ensures vendor compliance with SLAs
  • Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, related field, or 5 years of experience in IT
  • 5+ years of related IT experience
  • Previous project management experience preferred
  • Previous experience with handling and resolving multiple high-complexity issues
  • Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives, and rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to track multiple efforts concurrently
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Good understanding of intra-department functions and operations
  • Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
