About the position

The Network QA Tester at Excelacom is responsible for executing tests focused on the customer end-to-end user experience by installing routers and modems. The role involves troubleshooting and conducting root cause analysis of defects, while also learning about the product and business processes. The position requires strong communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Learn client business processes, technology systems, and related documentation including requirements analysis for delivery projects.
• Apply functional and technical system design to test planning, test case writing, and defect management.
• Explain technical behaviors related to defects to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Demonstrate strong presentation and communication skills.
• Exhibit knowledge and leadership in system and process understanding.
• Contribute in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Wireless Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 1+ year of manual testing experience with a good understanding of the Software Test Lifecycle.
• Experience in testing Core Network or WiFi systems.
• Knowledgeable in networking concepts.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Experience writing SQL queries and understanding data analysis basics.
• 1+ year of experience using service layer testing tools: SOAP UI, Swagger, Postman.

Nice-to-haves

• 1+ year of experience in Consulting (US-based or foreign).
• Working knowledge of Splunk or any log analysis tools.
