About the position

The Network Radiology Technologist at Sanford Health is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. This role involves operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and delivering excellent patient care throughout the imaging process. The technologist will also be involved in various imaging procedures and may participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging examinations on patients.
• Operate imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images according to patient cases and guidelines.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures.
• Implement radiation safety guidelines and conduct proper radiation protection practices.
• Deliver excellent patient care and education before, during, and after imaging procedures.
• Navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system effectively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including mobile imaging and EKG procedures.

Requirements

• Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including positioning and quality control.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
• Licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) if working in North Dakota.
• Consideration for registry eligible candidates obtaining ARRT within six months of hire in South Dakota.
• Permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health if working in Iowa.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment.

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification may be required within the first eight weeks of hire.
