About the position
The Network Reliability Operations Engineer will support and maintain the cloud network infrastructure for the client, which is essential for various software applications including Graphics Drivers, Autonomous Vehicles, and Artificial Intelligence. This role involves monitoring and troubleshooting network issues, engaging with vendors for circuit outages, and participating in network upgrades and capacity enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot the entire network stack within cloud and on-premise infrastructures.
- Remediate critical alerts within defined SLAs.
- Provide initial triage for network incidents and interact with internal customers on network-related issues.
- Engage with external vendors to resolve issues such as circuit outages.
- Participate in project-related work such as network device upgrades and link capacity augmentations.
- Contribute to tooling and automation for provisioning, monitoring, and managing network infrastructure.
Requirements
- Deep technical knowledge with BGP and VXLAN protocols.
- Experience with CSP environments such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OCI.
- 4+ years of experience in network operations.
- BS Degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.
- Strong track record of alert response and resolution within defined SLAs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in an interrupt-driven environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Working knowledge of Mellanox/Cumulus OS.
- Ability to write and understand Python/Shell scripts for automation and tools.
