About the position

As a Network Security Engineer, Lead at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's network infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading network security services to protect against unauthorized access, misuse, or theft. You will be part of the Cyber Network Security team and report directly to the VP of Network Security. This position requires collaboration across various departments, including Cyber Cloud Security and Infrastructure Network Engineering, to develop and implement effective technical solutions that enhance the security posture of Fiserv's global operations. In this role, you will serve as the Public Cloud Network Security Lead, providing subject matter expertise on network communications across multiple public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI. You will work closely with Cyber and Infrastructure architecture teams to formulate cloud communication security strategies and define security policies and standards for all public cloud properties, as well as for interactions between cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Cyber governance processes, policies, and configurations, ensuring compliance with internal controls, risk management, and disaster recovery processes. Your expertise will also be essential in responding to RFIs and addressing internal audit and government regulatory requests. You will implement risk management strategies and practices to ensure that cybersecurity measures are effectively integrated into the organization's operations, thereby maintaining a secure environment for financial transactions and data protection.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade network security services.
  • Serve as the Public Cloud Network Security Lead for Fiserv Global Cybersecurity Services.
  • Collaborate with Cyber Cloud Security and Infrastructure Network Engineering departments to develop and implement technical solutions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise regarding network communications across multiple public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
  • Work with Cyber and Infrastructure architecture teams to develop cloud communication security strategies.
  • Define cloud network security policies and standards for all public cloud properties and between cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement Cyber governance processes, policies, and configurations.
  • Respond to RFIs and provide answers to internal audit and government regulatory requests.
  • Implement risk management strategies and practices.
  • Ensure cybersecurity, internal controls, risk management, and disaster recovery processes are properly followed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security for Financial Institutions or similar regulated industries, with specific experience in developing, implementing, and managing Network Security solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in modern, large-scale corporate network environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in Network Security technology infrastructure including Firewalls, NGFWs, IDS/IPS, Web Proxy and other solutions that integrate the latest technologies to prevent and detect malicious attacks.
  • 4+ years of experience and advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and risk and compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in areas such as IT, Computer Science, IT Security, etc.

Nice-to-haves

  • Comfortable working with a variety of technologies, security problems, and troubleshooting complex network issues.
  • General understanding of cloud computing and services and traditional hardware/software platforms.
  • Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques, with a solid understanding of security principles, infrastructure, and data protection practices.
  • Familiarity with deployments and integration of network security solutions within the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
  • Professional certification such as CISSP preferred.
