About the position

The Network Security Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of the organization's information technology systems. Reporting directly to the Director of IT, this position is responsible for a variety of tasks related to security optimization and implementation of Cisco security products. The engineer will conduct Security Design Assessments and Configuration Reviews to ensure that all systems are secure and compliant with industry standards. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, as the engineer will be handling privileged information that must be protected at all costs. In addition to the technical responsibilities, the Network Security Engineer will also be involved in maintaining the overall security posture of the organization. This includes monitoring security systems, responding to security incidents, and implementing security best practices across the IT department. The engineer will work closely with other IT staff to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization's technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data security administration and analysis, with a proven track record of successfully implementing security solutions. They will be expected to stay current with the latest security trends and technologies, and to continuously seek ways to improve the organization's security measures. This is a temporary position, and the successful candidate will need to be adaptable and ready to take on new challenges as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Security Optimization Subscription activities to enhance the organization's security posture.
  • Perform Security Design Assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures.
  • Review Security Design and Configuration to ensure compliance with best practices and standards.
  • Implement Cisco security products to protect the organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information and ensure data protection.
  • Monitor security systems and respond to security incidents as they occur.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to integrate security measures into all technology initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Five (5) years of work experience in Data Security Administration, Data Security Analysis, or a similar position.
  • Valid CISSP or CCNP Security certification.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • No felony, theft, or stealing convictions.
