About the position

The Network Security Engineer at Terumo Medical Corporation is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of network solutions with a focus on security. This role involves troubleshooting network and security events, ensuring accurate documentation of network systems, and contributing to secure network design for various business unit projects. The engineer will work closely with the Director of Infrastructure and other teams to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of corporate security and communication initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of corporate networking systems.
  • Act as primary network support during security events or major business-impacting incidents.
  • Assist in technical projects aligned with organizational goals related to networking and security.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes in performance tuning, infrastructure design, and monitoring.
  • Serve as the highest level of in-house SME around networking and network security.
  • Analyze problems and evaluate solutions with various TAH entities.
  • Contribute to the implementation of networking and security devices according to corporate device lifecycle policies.
  • Participate in organization-wide network and security-based application projects to ensure optimal performance.
  • Engage in cross-functional project teams to solve problems involving multiple technologies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years administering and maintaining Fortigate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
  • 5+ years of practical implementation and maintenance of network routing equipment.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional network engineering or administration experience with exposure to various technologies.
  • 3+ years of advanced working knowledge of SDWAN and Network architecture.
  • Experience patching and managing network configurations, including security hardening.
  • Familiarity with different routing protocols such as OSPF, eBGP, and iBGP.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with cloud (GCP, Azure) network and security.
  • Knowledge of IDS, IPS, AV, Application, DNS security technologies.
  • Experience with network infrastructure (Cisco, Fortinet, etc.).
  • Familiarity with network admission control (NAC) solutions.
  • Experience in firewall management and auditing tools.
  • Knowledge of network packet brokers and SSL decryption technologies.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi deployment and configuration (Cisco).
  • Familiarity with public key infrastructure (PKI) and hardware security modules (HSM).
  • Experience with authentication solutions and log collection/aggregation tools.
