About the position

The Network Security Engineer III is responsible for enhancing the security posture of the organization by implementing strategic security improvements. This role involves leading initiatives to harden network security, ensuring compliance, and serving as a liaison between various IT and security functions. The engineer will act as a subject matter expert, providing third-level support and resolving production issues effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Research, evaluate, develop, and implement Network Security designs and standards following industry best practices.
  • Ensure that current and planned technical solutions align with the company's business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with IT organizations to design, develop, and implement Enterprise Security solutions for various environments.
  • Provide technical expertise and assistance to IT, Business groups, and Operations teams.
  • Contribute to the technology roadmap, long-term strategies, and architectural decisions.
  • Operate production environment toolsets and services.
  • Work with vendors to plan and deploy solutions, resolve issues, and implement enhancements.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships within the organization to align technical goals and vision.

Requirements

  • Clear communication skills.
  • Experience with Netskope or similar VPN alternative products (preferably Private Access).
  • Experience deploying Zero Trust solutions.
  • Background in Network Security.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with email security gateways like Proofpoint.
  • Senior level technical certification (CISSP, CCSP, MCSA) with relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Ability to provide leadership, guidance, and training to others.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
