About the position

The Network Security Engineer at Fire Rock Casino plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of the casino's IT infrastructure. Under the general direction of the Director of IT, this position is responsible for various security-related tasks including Security Optimization Subscription, Security Design Assessment, and Security Design/Configuration Reviews. The engineer will also be involved in the implementation of Cisco security products, ensuring that all security measures are effectively integrated and maintained. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, as the engineer will handle privileged information that is critical to the casino's operations. The successful candidate will be expected to stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies to proactively protect the casino's data and systems from potential threats. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Network Security Engineer will collaborate with other IT staff to develop and implement security policies and procedures. This includes conducting regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk management activities to identify and mitigate potential security risks. The engineer will also provide training and support to other staff members regarding security best practices and protocols. The position demands a proactive approach to security, with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization of security measures to adapt to the evolving threat landscape.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Five (5) years of work experience in Data Security Administration, Data Security Analysis, or similar position.
  • Valid CISSP or CCNP Security certification.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • No felony, theft, or stealing convictions.
