About the position

The Network Security Engineer at Abile Group will provide critical Network and Cybersecurity services to support an Intelligence Community customer. This role involves collaborating with corporate and customer leadership to implement enterprise-wide network security solutions, ensuring the integrity and security of multiple networks and security domains across various locations worldwide. The engineer will be responsible for designing secure network architectures, conducting risk assessments, managing network security incidents, and overseeing security infrastructure maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, and implement enterprise-wide network security solutions to support customer business goals.
  • Assist with designs, analyses, tests, and implementation of secure network architectures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide design recommendations.
  • Manage WAN, LAN, CAN, and remote network security, supporting Tier 3 incidents and problem management.
  • Oversee security infrastructure sustainment, maintenance, and advanced configuration of security tools.
  • Lead the reporting, documentation, and investigation of security-related incidents, developing corrective measures.
  • Develop and execute standard operating procedures for security tools.
  • Evaluate and report on new network security technologies to enhance network capabilities.
  • Act as a liaison to contract and customer management regarding network security status and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 6+ years of technical experience in Network Security with large-scale enterprise/global networks.
  • TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain CI poly.
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ minimum to start).
  • Must obtain CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills for developing analytical documents and presentations.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite including Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Understanding of the DoD Architecture Framework and key DoD network architecture instructions.
  • Expert knowledge of IP services.
  • Experience with Juniper SRX, Palo Alto Firewall, F5 Load Balancer, Cisco FTD/ASA.
  • Experience with Unix, RHELS OS, Windows Enterprise AD architecture, and VMWare virtualization.

  • CSSP certification.
