About the position

The Network Security Engineer role is focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network security solutions to protect the organization's infrastructure. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in firewall technologies, scripting, and automation, along with a strong foundation in information and network security principles. The engineer will work collaboratively with other security teams to ensure comprehensive protection against evolving security threats.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, IPS, and other security technologies.
• Automate security tasks and processes using Python and Ansible.
• Collaborate with other security teams to ensure comprehensive protection of the network infrastructure.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents.
• Stay updated on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in automation using Python.
• 2-4 years of experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• One or more industry-recognized security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security, CEH, etc.).
• 5+ years of experience in information and network security.
• 4+ years of software development experience or equivalent.
• Experience with Python, Perl, Java, Ansible, and GitHub.
• Solid understanding of network concepts and protocols.
• Advanced knowledge of information security principles and best practices.
• Extensive experience with firewall and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) technologies.
• Experience working with automation/management tools like XSOAR, Skybox, and Ansible.
