About the position
The Network Security Engineer position at CDW in Reno, NV, is a full-time role focused on managing and securing network infrastructures. Responsibilities
- Design and implement network infrastructures, including telephony and video systems.
- Configure and manage Cisco routers and switches.
- Support and manage VPNs to ensure secure remote access.
- Work with firewalls such as Checkpoint, PaloAlto, and Fortigate, and manage IDS/IPS and Syslog.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including wireless networks.
- Set up and maintain Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
Requirements
- Minimum of six years of professional experience in network administration and network security protocols.
- Proven expertise in designing network infrastructures.
- Proficiency in configuring Cisco routers and switches.
- Familiarity with firewalls such as Checkpoint, PaloAlto, and Fortigate.
- Knowledge of IDS/IPS and Syslog.
- Demonstrated capability in managing and supporting VPNs.
- Experience with BGP, MPLS, and QoS.
- Hands-on experience in configuring wireless networks.
Nice-to-haves
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
