About the position

The Network Security Engineer position at Randstad US is a contract role focused on designing, engineering, and implementing various network and security technologies for banking and financial services clients. This role requires extensive experience in network engineering with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity, particularly in configuring and managing next-generation firewalls and Zero Trust network access solutions. The position is fully remote, with a requirement to work Eastern timezone hours and occasional weekend migrations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, engineer, and implement various network/security technologies and policies, including Palo Alto Firewalls, Illumio App Sec, Z-Scaler Zero Trust, F5 LTM/GTM/ASM, SSL VPN, Cisco ISE, and Radius.
  • Perform architectural, policy, and design analysis of the current environment/connectivity.
  • Configure new environment/connectivity to support service and application migration.
  • Interact with internal and external resources to coordinate migration activities.
  • Support after-hours migrations and provide Day 1 support and hand-off to the Ops team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Network Engineering experience with a focus on Network and/or Cyber Security.
  • Advanced experience with configuring and managing next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto required, Illumio preferred).
  • Proficient with ZScaler Zero Trust network access solutions, including infrastructure and policy engineering.
  • Proficient with F5 Load Balancing including LTM, GTM, ASM to support security policy engineering and deployment.
  • Knowledge of SSL VPN security policy engineering and deployment.
  • Knowledge of Cisco ISE policy engineering and deployment.
  • Knowledge of Radius policy engineering and deployment.
  • Experience transforming to cloud services and Zero Trust framework.
  • Experience configuring DNAC in AWS and migrating existing devices to new DNAC.

Nice-to-haves

  • Applicable certification and/or training.
  • Advisory experience (architectural, policy, and design analysis of existing environments).
  • Able to work Eastern timezone hours.
