About the position

The Network Security Engineer at Ampcus Inc. is responsible for providing technical guidance and support to clients in deploying security integrations. This role involves acting as a technical partner, offering strategic advice on securing digital environments, and collaborating closely with client personnel to enhance their security posture. The engineer will also be involved in the implementation and optimization of security solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and contributing to the development of new security principles and concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and technical support to clients deploying security integrations.
  • Act as a technical partner, offering strategic guidance around complex systems to secure digital environments.
  • Interact directly with clients to suggest integrations that enhance their success.
  • Analyze product integrations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Engage in implementation work and proactively resolve potential concerns.
  • Configure, implement, and maintain the Security Operating Platform.
  • Optimize and migrate policies and objects to the Next-Gen Firewall.
  • Test and validate the migration environment and coordinate cutover to production.
  • Provide guidance on code upgrades and facilitate the development of new application and threat signatures.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to diagnose support cases.
  • Work with customer security and network teams to build confidence across business units.

Requirements

  • Senior level Electrical Engineering (EE) experience.
  • Strong communications, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Consultative approach to providing professional advice or recommendations.
  • Experience with Core Panorama and Next-Gen Firewall (NGFW).
  • Expertise in public cloud technologies.
  • High level of experience with Panorama and log collectors.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with network/security solutions and technologies (BGP, SD-WAN concepts, VXLAN, routing, and switching).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience leading security solutions in large environments.
  • Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of high-end firewall appliances, ideally PAN.
  • Experience in internetworking, LAN, and WAN technologies.
  • Good understanding of Internet protocols and applications.
  • Possession of industry certifications: CISSP, CCNA, CNSE, and JNCIE-SEC.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Global Protect.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects calmly under high pressure.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills, especially with senior leaders and technical peers.
