About the position

As a Senior Network Security Engineer at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our global network infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading network security services to protect against unauthorized access, misuse, or theft. You will collaborate with various departments to develop and implement technical solutions that support Network Security functions, ensuring that our systems are secure and compliant with industry standards. In this position, you will define, measure, and report metrics to monitor the compliance and effectiveness of managed platforms and services. You will also implement network security risk management strategies that continuously monitor and enhance the security of both client-facing and internally facing applications. Your ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks will be essential as you analyze and resolve complex issues, providing reasoned alternatives to solve problems. Additionally, you will ensure that cybersecurity protocols, internal controls, risk management, and disaster recovery processes are adhered to, addressing any risk items promptly. A proactive approach is necessary as you will be responsible for testing, identifying, and remediating network and system vulnerabilities, ensuring that our security posture remains robust against evolving threats.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade network security services across the global organization.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions and platforms to support Network Security functions across departments.
  • Define, measure, and report metrics to monitor compliance and effectiveness of managed platforms and services.
  • Implement network security risk management strategies and practices to continuously monitor and improve security.
  • Demonstrate effective time and priority management while analyzing and resolving complex issues.
  • Ensure cybersecurity, internal controls, risk management, and disaster recovery processes are properly followed.
  • Proactively test, identify, and remediate network and system vulnerabilities.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Information Security for financial institutions or similar regulated industries.
  • 6+ years' experience in Network Security technology infrastructure including Firewalls, NGFWs, IDS/IPS, Web Proxy, and other solutions.
  • 3+ years in modern, large-scale corporate network environments with expert-level understanding of core network switching and routing concepts.
  • 2+ years in cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques with a solid understanding of security principles.
  • 2 years of experience in business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls, and risk and compliance requirements.
  • 1+ years of experience in cloud computing and services, including operating systems, databases, and application servers.
  • 1+ years of experience in deployments and integration of network security solutions within the cloud.
