About the position

Syensqo is seeking a Network Security, SASE Engineer to join our dynamic IT team in Princeton, New Jersey. This role is pivotal in enhancing our IT capabilities as we embark on a transformation journey aimed at accelerating growth and creating sustainable shared value. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions that integrate seamlessly with our existing IT infrastructure, ensuring that our security and networking needs are met effectively. In this position, you will design and deploy SASE architectures that combine SD-WAN capabilities with cloud-native network security functions, such as Firewall as a Service (FWaaS), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and Secure Web Gateway (SWG). Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding data transmission across our network and cloud services while optimizing performance and user experience. You will continuously monitor and fine-tune the SASE infrastructure to adapt to evolving organizational needs and emerging security threats. As a Network Security, SASE Engineer, you will implement and manage security protocols within the SASE framework to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards. You will provide expert technical support for SASE infrastructure issues, collaborating closely with IT and cybersecurity teams to diagnose and resolve complex network and security problems. Your role will also involve managing relationships with SASE solution providers and vendors, ensuring that their services align with our organizational requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive documentation of the SASE architecture and conducting training sessions for IT and security teams to enhance their operational capabilities with SASE solutions. Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy SASE solutions that integrate with existing IT infrastructure.
  • Implement SASE architectures combining SD-WAN capabilities with cloud-native network security functions.
  • Configure network and security policies to safeguard data transmission and ensure optimal performance.
  • Continuously monitor and fine-tune the SASE infrastructure to meet organizational needs.
  • Implement and manage security protocols within the SASE framework to protect against cyber threats.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and compliance standards within the SASE architecture.
  • Provide expert technical support for SASE infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align SASE deployment with organizational goals.
  • Manage relationships with SASE solution providers and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of the SASE architecture and operational procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions for IT and security teams on SASE solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational complex setting.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing SD-WAN Solutions such as Cisco Viptela/Catalyst, VMware, Fortinet.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing security services such as firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco), CASB, SWG, and ZTNA.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing WAN, LAN, and WiFi solutions.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations affecting network and data security.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
  • Experience in managing complex technology migrations and lifecycle management.
  • Project management skills to plan and execute network-related projects.
  • Certifications related to product management, cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
  • Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies.
