About the position

The Network Solution Architect will support multiple IT projects by providing strategic direction and defining architectural solutions that align with business objectives. This role is crucial in shaping future-state architecture and facilitating its adoption across various business areas. The architect will act as a visionary, assisting in project direction, building consensus, and driving solution implementation from concept to execution, thereby meeting organizational goals and advancing technological initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and present conceptual and solution architectures to senior staff, business stakeholders, and the Enterprise Architecture Review Council.
  • Ensure applications and servers adhere to best practices, maximizing reusability and alignment with business needs.
  • Act as a Change Agent, promoting enhanced methodologies and newer technologies within the team.
  • Lead all stages of the project life cycle, from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design, and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture Review Council to secure approvals, gain insights, and ensure sustainable service and application solutions.
  • Drive the adoption of architectural modeling, service-oriented architecture, and enterprise information management best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; specialized training in relevant areas.
  • 8-15 years of experience across multiple IT domains, with 5-7 years in technology architecture.
  • Proficiency with Network Access Control (NAC), Cisco ISE, and Cisco DNA.
  • Strong knowledge of EA frameworks, networking technologies, and experience in SOA and enterprise services.
  • Transportation industry experience preferred.
