We are currently seeking a Network Solutions Consultant, specifically a Resident Engineer, to join our expanding Federal team. This role is crucial as Resident Engineers provide hands-on operational support services that empower our customers to maximize the benefits of our industry-leading products. In this position, you will leverage your technical expertise to optimize customer networks, proactively mitigate risks, and test and deploy new software and hardware solutions. You will also be responsible for addressing urgent issues that arise in the network environment. The Resident Engineer will work either independently or as part of a larger Network Operations Team dedicated to customer support. The role requires a strong technical background, particularly in pre/post-sales Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support of Juniper products within customer infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Senior Network Engineering Design/Architecture, particularly in data center network environments and service provider segment routing. A deep understanding of technologies and protocols commonly implemented in data center networks is essential, with a focus on segment routing, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, L2VPN, L3VPN, EVPN, and MPLS. Additionally, familiarity with Juniper products such as EX, QFX, SRX, vSRX, and cRPD is required. Experience with Automation/DevOps and scripting languages like Ansible, Python, and Kubernetes is also desirable. In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. The ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a team is crucial. You will manage multiple projects and maintain composure under pressure, prioritizing tasks to meet customer and account team goals. Expert-level relationship management and communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with customer engineers and JTAC to resolve hardware and software issues. You will also be responsible for providing case status updates and delivering root cause analyses, as well as supporting both informal and formal technology briefings and training sessions.
