About the position

As a Network Solutions Group Product Manager for Google Cloud, you will play a vital role in guiding products from conception to launch, focusing on networking and security solutions. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to define solution requirements, influence technical communities, and ensure customer needs are met through innovative product development. You will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, gathering insights, and training partners on best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted advisor for strategic customers, building and maintaining customer relationships and gathering insights and feedback.
  • Define solution requirements based on customer discussions, identifying critical gaps across products and finding innovative solutions.
  • Author solution design guides in partnership with Technology Specialists, Field Architects, Engineering, and Product Managers.
  • Influence and lead the technical community for creating technical content.
  • Train sales partners and customers on best practices for reliability, performance, and security, and create technical demonstrations for networking and security solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience with Networking, Network Architecture, Networking Protocols, Software Architecture.
  • Experience with product management, customer engineering, solutions engineering, or technical marketing in cloud networking, security, Kubernetes, infrastructure and application modernization, CDNs, observability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 7 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 5 years of experience preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 5 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • Knowledge in building accessibility best practices, with experience incorporating inclusion and accessibility into product development methodologies.
