About the position

The Network Supply Planner at Henkel is responsible for managing the planning and buying process for materials sourced by the Contract Manufacturing and Traded Goods supply chain. This role involves proactive communication regarding requirements and performance, managing inventory levels, and ensuring outstanding customer service. The planner will utilize Henkel's SAP Supply Network Planning tool to support inventory targets and will work closely with vendors and quality departments to address any issues that arise.

Responsibilities

  • Own the planning and buying process for a subset of materials sourced by the Contract Manufacturing and Traded Goods supply chain.
  • Proactively communicate requirements, performance, and service issues to all affected departments and business units.
  • Manage the flow of goods between various Henkel warehouses within North America to achieve outstanding customer service and optimal inventory levels.
  • Demonstrate effective use of Henkel's SAP Supply Network Planning tool in support of customer service and inventory targets.
  • Manage transit and communication with vendors outside North America.
  • Handle daily transactions on purchase orders and maintain communication with vendors.
  • Monitor and deplete slow-moving inventory, collaborating with other supply planners to ramp up production of new materials.
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting related to Customer Service and Inventory Management to drive continuous process improvements.
  • Work with quality departments on potential complaints or returns.
  • Execute special projects as requested by the Supply Chain Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline, preferably in Operations or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a Supply Chain role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience with continual process improvement methods and root cause analysis.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Outlook.
  • MRP experience.
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP software preferred.
  • Experience with data warehouse querying preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • APICS certification preferred.
