The Network Support Engineer position at Accion Labs is a 12-month contract-to-hire role based in Los Angeles, CA, requiring a hybrid work model with three days onsite each week. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience providing WAN support in diverse environments. This role is critical for maintaining and enhancing the network infrastructure, which includes WAN, MAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi, as well as ensuring quality of service for data, voice, and video communications. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of various network protocols such as IP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, and IPSec, and have hands-on experience with MPLS, VPN, Hybrid WAN, SD-WAN, and Metro Networks. In addition to technical skills, the role requires proficiency in network hardware, specifically Cisco routers and switches, as well as Palo Alto firewalls. The candidate should also be familiar with network configuration related to cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Security is a key aspect of this position, and the candidate must have experience with network security measures, including firewalls and security monitoring. Knowledge of public and private DNS, DHCP, and network monitoring tools such as PRTG, Nagios, and Wireshark is also essential. The Network Support Engineer will be responsible for providing operational support, which includes enabling ports, managing site outages, and deploying hardware and software. The role will primarily focus on wireless network support and troubleshooting WAN issues. Excellent communication skills are necessary, as the engineer will interact with stakeholders and VIPs across the organization. The position also requires the ability to work collaboratively within and across teams, fostering strong relationships with various stakeholders.
