At Cisco Meraki, our Network Support Engineer Interns play a crucial role within the Support team, engaging in hands-on troubleshooting across the entire Meraki product line, which includes wireless access points, security appliances, switches, and the Systems Manager application. This internship is designed to provide a steep learning curve in a fun and challenging environment, allowing interns to develop a deeper understanding of networking, enhance their problem-solving skills, and master customer support techniques that will benefit them throughout their careers. Interns are expected to be proactive, smart, and passionate individuals who are willing to take on various tasks and contribute to the team's success. The position is full-time and based in Chicago, with applications accepted until further notice. Interns will participate in structured classroom workshops focused on core CCNA preparation, guided by a Meraki instructor. They will engage in lab assignments using tools like Packet Tracer, NetAcad labs, and Meraki troubleshooting labs to build foundational knowledge in networking and troubleshooting. Additionally, interns will assist with lab testing for Meraki products, identify issues for the Meraki Knowledge Base, and communicate effectively with third parties, including partners and customers, regarding technical issues and customer service inquiries. Collaboration with other Support team members is essential to resolve network outages, misconfigurations, and complex networking issues, as well as analyzing packet captures using Wireshark.
