The Network/System Administrator position at SIGMADESIGN is a direct placement opportunity for a global company located in Gresham, OR. This role is designed to support business processes, communication, collaboration, and knowledge management through the deployment, maintenance, and support of enterprise technology, infrastructure, applications, and site technical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring service delivery for commercial systems and Industrial IT (IIT) services at the Portland site. The primary function of the Network/System Administrator is to ensure the continuous availability, security, and performance of file/print services, email, and Internet services in a 24/7 environment. This includes monitoring and controlling priority incidents, ensuring IT services are delivered according to standard operating procedures and agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA), and focusing on customer service and troubleshooting. The role also involves managing outsourced teams, monitoring performance and costs, and identifying service improvement opportunities based on data analysis and customer feedback. In addition, the Network/System Administrator will manage and support the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN), apply OS patches and upgrades, support the Disaster Recovery Plan, and ensure that infrastructure systems are operating optimally. The position requires daily system monitoring, log analysis, and verification of hardware and server resources, ensuring that all services are delivered securely and resiliently. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
