About the position

The Network/System Administrator II at System High Corporation is responsible for organizing, installing, and supporting computer systems for government organizations, including local and wide area networks. This role involves technical support, network architecture, and participation in hardware and software decisions to enhance the organization's infrastructure. The position supports Special Access Programs (SAPs) for Department of Defense (DoD) agencies and requires day-to-day management of various network and system operations.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, install, and support computer systems including LANs, WANs, and other data communication systems.
  • Architect, design, and analyze network models.
  • Provide technical support to computer users to resolve issues.
  • Execute day-to-day management and operations of systems and networks.
  • Manage COTS & GOTS products for system security and performance metrics.
  • Follow Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists for service maintenance.
  • Operate monitoring tools with enterprise security information and event management (SIEM).
  • Assist in analyzing technical risk of emerging cybersecurity tools and processes.
  • Work as part of a security incident response team as needed.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related experience in network/system administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience (4 years).
  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
  • Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01-M certification requirements for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 within 6 months of hire.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of CISCO network and switching technologies.
  • Experience providing technical support in a customer service role.
  • Familiarity with DoD policy regarding system and network administration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server administration.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies like MS Hyper-V and VMWare.
  • Experience with communication security (COMSEC) policies.
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework and System Security Policy.
