About the position

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated "Network/System Engineer V" for an opportunity in Chicago, IL. This position is focused on overseeing the delivery of collaboration and productivity solutions at the bank, specifically utilizing the M365 product suite, as well as voice and video solutions. The role requires a blend of technical knowledge and process expertise to assess the requirements for introducing or enhancing the bank's collaboration and productivity services. The primary objective is to ensure that programs and projects are delivered end-to-end, encompassing design, build, and operation phases, while maintaining high quality, a strong focus on user experience, and adherence to necessary security and compliance controls through collaboration with various bank teams. The Network/System Engineer V will manage overall program execution and health, which includes overseeing tasks, risks, dependencies, and impediments. This role is accountable for ensuring that the end-to-end plan is executed and delivered by the expected date. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to identify and prioritize dependent tasks, as well as to track open deliverables to closure. The engineer will engage with both bank and vendor teams to define critical tasks and inter-dependencies necessary for successful delivery. Additionally, tracking watch items, issues, and risks with corresponding mitigation plans is crucial before implementation. User experience testing will also be a part of the responsibilities, including documenting results as required. The engineer will manage user migration, communication, and training for programs as necessary, and will drive the development of service management measures and KPIs. Documentation of improvement plans throughout the delivery process is also expected. The role will require preparing briefing notes, reports, program updates, and action plans for Senior Management, ensuring that all aspects of the program are communicated effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall program execution and program health inclusive of tasks, risks, dependencies, and impediments.
• Accountable for end-to-end plan ensuring delivery by expected date.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize dependent tasks, track open deliverables to closure.
• Engage and support bank and vendor teams to define critical tasks and inter-dependencies needed to deliver.
• Track watch items, issues, and risks with corresponding mitigation plans for disposition before implementation.
• Track user experience testing and document results, if required.
• Manage user migration, communication, and training for programs as required.
• Drive development of service management measures and KPIs as required.
• Document improvement plans over the course of delivery as needed.
• Prepare briefing notes, reports, program updates, and action plans for Senior Management.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience delivering M365 or Regulated Messaging Services preferred, or equivalent technical projects.
• Ability to work well with other bank team members to deliver on their tasks.
• Strong communication (written and spoken) skills.
• Expert organizational skills and analytical skills.
• Effective attention to detail and ability to determine course of action as required.
• Ability to learn bank's system and tollgates needed to perform role; knowledge of Jira preferred.
• Interact effectively with teams, internal customers, and leadership as needed.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Visio.
• 7-10 years experience working on technology initiatives.
