About the position

The Network/System Engineer V will be a key member of the Applications and Solutions team, focusing on middleware engineering for J2EE applications within a complex financial organization. This role involves leading multiple projects, managing a distributed architecture framework, and providing technical consultation and support for application teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects on the Technology Infrastructure team.
• Design and build web-based applications using Weblogic Server/Portal in a UNIX infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex application integration points and coordinate with virtual team members.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to change.
• Work closely with application teams to deploy new applications in the Weblogic hosting environment.
• Gather application configuration needs and facilitate changes with administrators and vendors.
• Provide on-call support and flexible working hours.
• Collaborate with customers on Middleware and Java support.
• Serve as a J2EE architect and recommend best practices in application development.
• Design Middleware infrastructure and topology for high availability and failover capability.
• Provide technical consultation to team members.

Requirements

• Extensive Python scripting experience.
• J2EE application experience.
• 8+ years' experience in Jboss or Weblogic.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
