About the position

The Network/System Engineer position at Genesis10 involves providing Level III support for Microsoft 365 applications within the financial industry. The role encompasses managing day-to-day operations, critical client escalations, and infrastructure deployments while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The engineer will also be responsible for monitoring application performance, facilitating problem resolution, and supporting continual service improvement plans.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Level III support of Microsoft 365 Office suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Drive for Business, Teams, and SharePoint Online.
  • Act as application analyst/technician for day-to-day operations, critical client escalations, and production changes.
  • Execute processes to support IT infrastructure and resources for service delivery within required SLAs.
  • Prepare for new or changed services and manage the change process while maintaining regulatory standards.
  • Manage and support infrastructure applications and related data repositories on a daily basis.
  • Monitor, measure, report, and review application service performance to ensure availability and capacity meet business demand.
  • Apply information security procedures to maintain compliance across infrastructure applications.
  • Manage system and service performance in terms of business contribution and financial costs.
  • Support the development of continual service improvement plans for IT infrastructure.
  • Facilitate resolution of problems throughout the information system lifecycle, including classification and prioritization.
  • Document root causes and implement remedies to prevent future incidents.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot applications supporting IT services.
  • Act as third-level resource for collaboration applications.
  • Collaborate with Architecture/Engineering peers for solution planning and problem resolution.
  • Provide on-call support as needed.
  • Assist administration teams with troubleshooting network/server issues and testing system-related issues.
  • Assist with internal efficiencies on projects and development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Expert experience/knowledge of Office 365 ProPlus & Online Applications.
  • Understanding of Microsoft MDM tools - Intune, Azure Identity and Rights Management, Enterprise Mobility Suite.
  • Knowledge of M365 suite of products (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Exchange).
  • Understanding of Exchange, SharePoint, Skype for Business, on-premise, online, and hybrid environments.
  • Experience with Exchange 2013 & Skype for Business features and migration.
  • Experience migrating large enterprise clients to Office 365.
  • Experience with Office 365 deployment and troubleshooting complex install issues.
  • Knowledge of SCCM, MDT, OS/Application deployment toolset engineering.
  • Experience with Access Database Editing/Setup DSN Connections.
  • Knowledge of managing and administering Office 365 through Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  • Proficient communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient technical writing skills using MS Office suite.
  • Proficient with Project Management Concepts: Six Sigma, MBF, ITIL.
  • Advanced technical knowledge with Active Directory.
  • Proven experience in problem identification, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Experience with incident, change, and problem management disciplines; knowledge of Remedy ITSM application toolset.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
