About the position

Genesis10 is seeking a Network/System Engineer for a 12+ month contract position in the financial industry. The role involves providing Level III support for Microsoft 365 applications, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The engineer will also be responsible for infrastructure applications, performance monitoring, and facilitating problem resolution throughout the information system lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level III support for Microsoft 365 Office suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and SharePoint Online.
  • Act as application analyst/technician for day-to-day operations and critical client escalations.
  • Execute processes to support IT infrastructure and resources for service delivery.
  • Prepare for new or changed services and manage the change process.
  • Monitor and manage infrastructure applications and related data repositories.
  • Apply information security procedures to maintain compliance across applications.
  • Manage system performance and contribute to business performance and financial sustainability.
  • Support the development of continual service improvement plans.
  • Facilitate problem resolution throughout the information system lifecycle.
  • Document root causes and implement remedies to prevent future incidents.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot applications supporting IT services.
  • Collaborate with Architecture/Engineering peers for solution planning and troubleshooting.
  • Provide on-call support and assist with network/server troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Expert knowledge of Office 365 ProPlus and Online Applications.
  • Understanding of Microsoft MDM tools - Intune, Azure Identity, and Rights Management.
  • Experience with M365 suite products including Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Exchange.
  • Knowledge of Exchange 2013 and Skype for Business features and migration.
  • Experience migrating large enterprise clients to Office 365.
  • Proficient in Office 365 deployment and troubleshooting complex install issues.
  • Experience with SCCM, MDT, and OS/Application deployment tools.
  • Knowledge of Access Database Editing/Setup and DSN Connections.
  • Experience managing Office 365 through Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  • Proficient communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient technical writing skills using MS Office suite.
  • Advanced technical knowledge with Active Directory.
  • Experience with incident, change, and problem management disciplines.
