About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network/System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. The role involves providing system design, which includes defining and documenting the hardware, software, infrastructure components, modules, interfaces, scalability, and high availability solutions that meet specified business development and application integration requirements. The engineer will also provide 3rd level support, which encompasses incident troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution for web applications. Day-to-day administration includes installation, testing, tuning, upgrading, and loading patches, as well as troubleshooting server problems. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for the installation of home-grown and vendor software, documenting the steps, and promoting to upstream teams for deployment. Supporting issues with deployments in the upstream environments is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide System Design, defining and documenting hardware, software, infrastructure components, modules, interfaces, scalability, and high availability solutions.
• Provide 3rd Level Support for incident troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution for web applications.
• Perform day-to-day administration including installation, testing, tuning, upgrading, and loading patches, troubleshooting server problems.
• Install home-grown and vendor software, document the steps, and promote to upstream teams for deployment.
• Support issues with deployments in the upstream environments.

Requirements

• 7+ years of strong experience in Windows Operating System, IIS and .NET application integration or Linux with Websphere, Tomcat.
• Ability to troubleshoot application integration issues in Linux and Windows environments.
• Knowledge of CICD tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, Firewall, Local and Global load balancing expertise in application integration.
• Able to troubleshoot application integration issues in Windows and cross-platform environments.
• Experience administering Tomcat and Websphere application servers.
• Hands-on experience with F5 devices like Global Traffic Manager and Local Traffic Manager.
• Experience working in Agile Model/Work Space.
