The Network/Systems Administrator 3 position at GovCIO is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and networks, both in networked and stand-alone configurations. Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains smooth operation of computer systems, including operating systems, software, and hardware.
- Creates and documents new methods supporting network/system operations and implements changes to procedures.
- Consults with support teams and customers to resolve problems and coordinates maintenance activities for networks/servers.
- Plans for the transition of environments to new technologies and monitors system performance.
- Maintains and administers computer networks and related computing environments.
- Plans, coordinates, and implements network/system security measures.
- Provides regular monitoring and analysis for in-house systems.
- Prepares and ensures appropriate documentation exists, including operational instructions.
- Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve performance problems and automate tasks.
- Recommends changes to improve systems and network configurations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years of experience or commensurate experience.
- 5+ years experience with Windows and VMware systems administration.
- Must have an active HUD Public Trust clearance.
