About the position

The Network Systems Administrator at Sanmina Corporation is responsible for supporting the day-to-day IT operations of the manufacturing facility. This role ensures maximum uptime and profitability by maintaining key systems, securing networks, and adhering to company policies and procedures. The position involves a mix of systems management, hardware support, and project management to enhance the performance and reliability of IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, upgrade, install, and troubleshoot servers, including VM environment, computers, networks, and networking hardware devices.
  • Support and maintain system backups, user and server security, user account management, e-mail systems, Active Directory environment, and internet access.
  • Provide internal and external customer support to ensure business continuity.
  • Support and maintain servers, network, production equipment, desktop hardware, printers, cellular, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Configure organizational units (OUs) and manage Chrome OS settings.
  • Understand and manage G Suite applications including Gmail, Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Calendar.
  • Attend various meetings related to networking and telecommunications.
  • Update and maintain enterprise anti-virus and anti-malware software.
  • Provide PBX telecommunications support, including setup and programming of phone switches and voicemail systems.
  • Propose needs analysis and implement system enhancements for improved performance and reliability.
  • Upgrade, install, and maintain IT environmental monitoring equipment.
  • Work with external entities, contractors, customers, suppliers, and temp agencies to install and maintain on-site equipment.
  • Develop and create reference documents for applications and processes used at Sanmina.
  • Handle highly confidential information and comply with IT security policies.
  • Manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.
  • Perform orientation and training of new FIT staff and mentor tech support personnel.
  • Conduct training sessions and Lunch and Learns with peers and employees as products change.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and parts and supplier contacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 - 5 years experience in Network systems administration.
  • Ability to work based on goals and ticketing system and deliver on-time resolutions.
  • Knowledge of Windows (XP, 7, 10).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, able to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Experience working with internal and external IT groups including customers, engineering teams, and network groups.
  • Knowledge of Office Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux is a plus but not required.
  • Project management skills.
  • Intermediate networking knowledge and skills, including Ethernet physical layer connectivity analysis and basic TCP/IP protocol setup and troubleshooting.
