About the position

The Pre-Sales Network Systems Engineer at Arista Networks plays a crucial role in supporting the Sales Engineering team by leveraging technical expertise in networking, particularly within the Financial Services sector. This position involves acting as a trusted advisor to customers, facilitating technical training, and engaging in product demonstrations to enhance the Arista brand. The engineer will work closely with various teams to align solutions with customer needs and drive innovation in low latency and high-performance networking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the pre and post-sales technical relationship with assigned customers.
  • Support and research customer requirements and design questions.
  • Build and maintain a deep knowledge of all Arista technologies.
  • Facilitate technical training on Arista's low latency products and solutions.
  • Engage with key partners to develop proficiencies in delivering services around Arista's solution set.
  • Participate in the execution of Proof of Concepts (POCs) for Arista solutions.
  • Execute technical Quarterly Business Reviews with customers.
  • Support onsite requirements at the customer.
  • Respond to inbound questions and technical requests from customers.
  • Present technical content to worldwide organizations both virtually and in-person.
  • Create technical marketing and training materials for Financial Services customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of networking design and implementation experience in Financial Services and Trading environments.
  • In-depth technical expertise in routing and switching, network architecture, and design.
  • Strong presentation and selling skills for complex technical topics.
  • Solid understanding of building successful relationships between equipment manufacturers and customer teams.
  • Good interpersonal, customer relations, and problem management skills.
  • Experience creating technical materials such as slides, white papers, and solution guides.
  • Solid knowledge of competitive products, solutions, and services.
  • Experience with complex low latency network design focusing on multicast and QoS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience building network automation using Python and Ansible.
  • Network Industry Certification including Arista Cloud Engineer (ACE) level 3-5.
