About the position

The Data Center Network Services team within Cisco IT is seeking a skilled engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy network capabilities within the Data Center Network. This role involves collaboration with fellow engineers and internal clients to create innovative and high-quality network solutions that enhance client experiences. The position emphasizes a DevOps approach to support rapid application changes and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy DC network capabilities within Data Center Network.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers across multiple disciplines and internal clients.
• Create innovative, high-quality capabilities to enhance client experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in a related field or a minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, deploying, operating, and managing scalable DC network infrastructure (2/3-tiered spine-leaf fabric).
• Experience in technologies like Routing, Switching, Nexus, VPC, VDC, VLAN, VXLAN, BGP.
• Experience in handling incident, problem, and change management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Nvidia DGX and Linux networking.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and Agile practices.
• ACI experience.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of Git and REST API.
• Experience with Cisco 8k running SONiC.
• Experience with Cisco FTD/FMC.
• Experience with Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller for building and fixing networks.
• CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification.
