About the position

The Network Technician / Systems Administrator position at Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services involves providing critical support for the D3I D2 role under the SMDC NCR-IADS Task Order. The selected candidate will be responsible for building, deploying, and updating SIPR and NIPR workstations and servers, ensuring compliance with security policies and operational requirements. This role requires constant 24/7 support for a mission-critical headquarters, including network management, system administration, and oversight of information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, and update SIPR and NIPR workstations/servers.
  • Apply IAVAs and Operating System patches, implement STIGs, and conduct routine scans.
  • Support the purchase, design, build, test, and maintenance of LAN/MAN/WANs.
  • Manage network integration, configuration, monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Review and evaluate software products and provide quality assurance.
  • Provide oversight and assistance over information systems, computers, and communications.
  • Attend and participate in technical interchanges and meetings.
  • Assist with the development of network design documentation packages.
  • Support system and network accreditation processes.

Requirements

  • Active Secret DoD Security Clearance.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification or continuing education.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (desired) or applicable training and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Systems Administration, Desktop Support, or Network Design.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft, Linux, networking NSA Type 1 encryption devices, VOIP, email, video teleconferencing, Microsoft Server Systems (Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server), VMware, EPO Antivirus Server, Symantec Backup, MS Active Directory Admin, and Cisco devices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Additional CompTIA certifications, including Cisco certifications.
  • Experience managing, configuring, and STIG network devices.
  • Experience supporting 263rd AAMDC Mission Requirements.
  • Direct experience with the Joint Air Defense Operations Center (JADOC).
