About the position

As a Network Technician at Nomerel LLC, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing a cutting-edge network infrastructure. This role is crucial for delivering seamless connectivity and exceptional service to clients across various industries, including healthcare, financial services, education, and non-profit organizations. You will work both remotely and on-site, ensuring the reliability and security of network systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network systems, hardware, and software to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, minimizing downtime and disruptions to critical business operations.
• Perform diagnostics with Meraki and OSPF.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify areas for improvement using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to ensure network reliability, security, and efficiency with DevOps.
• Document network configurations, upgrades, and repairs to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• Assist with network expansion projects, including planning, testing, and implementing new solutions.
• Stay ahead of the latest trends and technologies in the networking space to recommend and integrate best practices.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in computer networking.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, VLAN, IP addressing, routing, and switching).
• Hands-on experience with network hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).
• Understanding of network security protocols and practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are a plus but not required.
• Experience with Palo Alto and FortiNet preferred.
