The Project Leader, Network Solutions, is a vital member of the Information Technology team, tasked with delivering all network and telecommunication services that support key business operations and critical applications across the enterprise. This role requires a deep understanding of network operations, including data centers, networking, telecommunications, cybersecurity, compliance, and related services. The Project Leader will maintain relationships with external network and telecommunication providers and contribute to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering significant value. A strong emphasis is placed on customer service, focusing on systems availability, performance, reliability, security, and adherence to established service level metrics. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Engineering/Architecture and 3 years in IT support, with a preference for candidates who have 2 years of experience in Cisco support. The role demands hands-on experience in configuring Cisco products and other communication equipment in a global enterprise environment, as well as expertise in installing, configuring, and managing routers, switches, and wireless devices. The Project Leader will engage in a variety of networking tasks, including planning, design, testing, integration, and deployment of secure, high-speed voice, data, and video networks. A network certification such as CCNP or CCIE is preferred, along with a broad knowledge of IT infrastructure and security practices. The candidate should also be familiar with virtualization platforms, Microsoft servers, cloud-based services, and various networking technologies. In addition to technical expertise, the Project Leader must possess strong influencing and negotiation skills, analytical and strategic thinking abilities, and a solid understanding of the enterprise's business units. The role involves building consensus, making informed decisions, and driving major initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Project Leader will also be responsible for technical input into network and telecommunication projects, participating in the development of IT architecture and technology roadmaps, and monitoring customer satisfaction and service delivery management. This position typically does not have supervisory responsibilities but plays a crucial role in shaping the company's IT strategy and governance processes.
