As a Networking Test Engineer at Google, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our expansive and evolving network operates at its highest potential. This position is part of our Platforms Team, which is responsible for designing and building the hardware, software, and networking technologies that power all of Google's services. You will be tasked with hands-on testing and debugging of complex networking equipment, leveraging your deep understanding of networking protocols and your expertise in test design and implementation. Your background in IP network design will be essential as you work to ensure that Google's cutting-edge technology can perform at scale. In this role, you will be involved in developing and executing test strategy plans for various networking features, equipment, and systems. You will also contribute to the design of new networking solutions and qualification strategies, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Your responsibilities will include developing test automation, creating libraries and tools, and certifying software releases for general use. Collaboration with development teams will be key as you work together to validate software and hardware systems for networking. Additionally, you will design, build, and maintain testbed infrastructure, triage automated regression failures, provide failure analysis, and manage software releases to production. Your work will be integral to maintaining the architecture that supports all of Google's online services, ensuring that our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
