About the position

The Network Voice Engineer position is focused on providing expert support in migrating from a traditional phone system to a Cisco cloud-based solution. This role requires a leader with extensive experience in Cisco technologies and a strong background in voice communications, particularly in a healthcare environment. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, implementing, and maintaining voice systems, ensuring seamless communication across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support the migration from traditional phone systems to Cisco cloud solutions.
• Provide level III support for voice communications.
• Implement and troubleshoot voice issues in a Cisco environment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot WAN/LAN infrastructure technologies.
• Maintain documentation of all CUCM network infrastructure components and technologies.
• Implement call routing, QoS, device pools, signaling protocols, and dial-peers.
• Perform root cause analysis, risk identification, and risk mitigation for voice systems.

Requirements

• Expert experience in Cisco technologies such as Cisco UC Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, and Cisco Webex Control Hub.
• Five or more years of experience supporting and troubleshooting Cisco Communications and networking technologies.
• Strong experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager/Call Manager and Cisco Expressway for Mobile Remote Access.
• Proficient in monitoring applications such as Nagios, Splunk, and Solar Winds.
• Expert knowledge of protocols such as H323, SIP, RTP, and PRI.
• Ability to support Cisco routers and switches running Cisco IOS, Catalyst IOS, and Nexus IOS.
• Experience with Cisco UCS servers and VMWare infrastructures.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of Visio, SharePoint, and documentation applications.
• Familiarity with ticketing and asset management software such as Service Now.
