About the position

As a Medical Surgical Nurse at CHI St. Vincent North, you will provide essential care to patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role allows you to build on your nursing education and experience across various specialized service lines, including cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency. Your commitment to patient care and your ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals will be key to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift
• Administer medications and change dressings
• Monitor vital signs and chart with timely documentation
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as social workers, care coordinators, physical therapists, occupational therapists, lab technicians, respiratory therapists, and imaging specialists.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse License for State of Arkansas or compact state prior to hire
• Six months of experience in an acute care setting required (new graduates must complete residency training program)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Nice-to-haves

• Previous neuro experience preferred, but not required
